About Disney

Walt Disney, better known as Walter Disney, was a film producer, screenwriter, director, animator, and voice actor from the US. Disney holds the reputation of being amongst world’s most famous producers of motion picture. The creation of Disneyland, an ‘American Theme Park’ is also attributed to Disney. Walt is also the co-founder of ‘Walt Disney Productions’ with his sibling Roy O. Disney. This profitable corporation is now called ‘The Walt Disney Company’.

Walt Disney has been particularly noted to be an unbeaten storyteller, hands-on producer of films, and a famous showman. He, along with his staff, had created numerous animated properties, inclusive of the ultimate ‘Mickey Mouse’.

The initial years

As per records shown by ‘Kansas City Public School’, Disney started attending ‘The Benton Grammar School’ in the year 1911. He graduated on the 8th of June, 1917. At this time, he enrolled in the classes at ‘Chicago Art Institute’. School was left by him at age 16. He then went on to become a ‘Volunteer Ambulance Driver’ during the World War I. Thereafter, he carried out a change in his certificate of birth in order to show the year as 1900. The reason was ability to get enlisted in service. He had the privilege of serving as ‘American Red Cross Ambulance Force’s’ Member in France till the year 1919.

Disney’s early years of career in animation were spent at ‘Kansas City Animation Studios’, and ‘New California Studio’. He married Margaret Winkler in the year 1927 and produced a new-fangled animated series under the banner of ‘Universal Pictures’. The series was named ‘Oswald and Lucky Rabbit’. It was an immediate success.

Mickey Mouse

The character of ‘Mickey Mouse’ that was christened by ‘Lillian Disney’ made his debut in ‘Plane Crazy’, a short, silent film by Disney. However, there were distribution problems associated with it. As an alternative to this, Disney made a Mickey cartoon and named it ‘Steamboat Willie’. Sound was also associated with it. After that, there was no looking back. Mickey Mouse is still being adored by majority of toddlers.
