About Zac Efron

Zac Efron had been born and brought up in California. His parents were Starla Baskett and David Efron. The name of his younger brother is Dylan. The entire family has a ‘Siamese Cat’ and 2 Australian shepherds. The complete name of Zac is ‘Zachary David Alexander Efron’.

Career

Singing talents of Zac were discovered at the age of 11. He had started working in ‘Local Musicals’ inclusive of Peter pan, Gypsy, and more. The TV credits of Zac started in the year 2002 at the age of 12-13. He had made a number of guest appearances before joining the group of Summerland as ‘Cameron Bale’ in 2005. he had the privilege of working with numerous young actors/singers inclusive of Sara Paxton and Jesse McCartney in Summerland.

High School Musical

‘High School Musical’ was filmed in the year 2005. It starred Vanessa Anne Hudgens and Zac as Gabriella Montez and Troy Bolton. The storyline was Greece-inspired, wherein the teenagers fought for winning the leads against several odds in their High School Musical owned by themselves. The movie turned out to be a grand success. Moreover, the soundtrack topped the music charts for almost whole of 2006. Efron, along with others are reported to be committed to ‘High School Musical 2’ which is said to come out in 2007.

Zac is believed to be 1st credited with ‘Gold Status’ of the entire set of HSM songs of Troy. It has also been heard that this credit was later passed on to ‘Drew Seeley’. This thing, however, is still a matter of controversy.
